YOUR MENTAL HEALTH IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS YOUR PHYSICAL

CBT THERAPY/COUNSELLING

CBT, or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, is a type of psychotherapy or counselling that focuses on helping people identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviours that contribute to emotional distress. It is a structured, goal-oriented approach where therapists work with clients to recognise how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are interconnected.

The primary aim of CBT is to help individuals understand how their negative thought patterns (such as "I’m not good enough") can influence their emotions and behaviours (like avoiding certain situations or feeling anxious). By changing these unhelpful thoughts and behaviours, CBT helps people develop healthier ways of thinking and coping, improving their emotional well-being.

CBT is commonly used to treat conditions like:

  • Anxiety disorders (including generalized anxiety, panic disorder, and social anxiety)

  • Depression

  • PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder)

  • OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder)

  • Phobias

  • Stress management

We offer our therapy in one of our spa relaxation suites to ensure your comfort and confidentiality. All appointments are strictly confidential, the only staff member who is able to access your records is your therapist themselves ensuring you a safe space to discuss anything without the concern of judgement or secrecy.

Therapy can be offered in person or virtually to accommodate your schedule if required.

Danica had this therapy herself when going through a long period of fertility issues and losses and found her love for CBT. A lot of our patients have therapy to help them overcome challenges they are facing, or just because they want to keep their mental health healthy. Therapy doesn't have to be just because you feel something is wrong.

HYPNOTHERAPY

Would you like to stop smoking? Maybe you've swapped cigarettes for vaping and want to stop altogether. Or have you noticed a glass of wine is becoming too frequent?

Hypnotherapy for addiction involves using the state of hypnosis to help individuals make positive changes in their behaviour, including overcoming addictive habits. Hypnosis is a focused state of relaxation where the mind is more receptive to suggestion, and the therapist works with the individual to address the underlying psychological triggers and patterns contributing to their addiction.

We have helped many patients overcome phobias, stop addictive habits such as smoking or drinking and change their life for the better. Sessions can be face to face in our relaxation suite or virtually depending on your schedule.

Here's how hypnotherapy works for addiction:

  1. Inducing a Relaxed State: The therapist guides the person into a deeply relaxed state, often referred to as a trance. In this state, the individual’s conscious mind is more relaxed and less critical, while their subconscious mind is more open to suggestions.

  2. Identifying Triggers: The therapist helps the person identify emotional or psychological triggers that lead to addictive behaviour. For example, they might explore situations, feelings, or past experiences that contribute to the craving or need for substances or certain behaviours.

  3. Suggesting Positive Changes: Once the person is deeply relaxed, the therapist offers positive suggestions to the subconscious mind. These suggestions might include creating a sense of self-control, promoting healthier coping mechanisms, or eliminating the desire for the addictive substance or behaviour. The goal is to reprogram the subconscious mind to break the cycle of addiction.

  4. Addressing Underlying Issues: Hypnotherapy may also help address underlying issues contributing to addiction, such as anxiety, trauma, stress, or low self-esteem. The therapist can suggest ways to cope with these emotions in healthier ways, rather than turning to the addictive behaviour.

  5. Reinforcing New Habits: In addition to working on specific addiction-related behaviours, hypnotherapy can also help reinforce new, positive habits and ways of thinking, such as boosting self-confidence, developing resilience, and cultivating a sense of well-being.

  6. Post-Hypnosis Reinforcement: After each session, the person may be given self-hypnosis techniques or affirmations to continue working on breaking the addiction outside of therapy. These tools can help maintain the progress made during hypnotherapy sessions.

It's important to note that hypnotherapy is not a quick fix and is most effective when used as part of a broader treatment plan that may include counselling, support groups, or medical interventions. Success varies from person to person, and some people may find hypnotherapy particularly helpful for their addiction, while others may benefit from different approaches.

The fee is £180, up to 3 sessions may be required, a 10% discount can be applied if this is required. Klarna available.

Emma has helped many of our staff member overcome extreme phobias and stop smoking. We were so impressed with our personal experiences and results we had to have her as part of the team. Danica personally had hypnotherapy before starting IVF and the only one that was successful was the one straight after her hypnotherapy.
